The junkie’s arm

My art currently falls into three categories.

My sculptures involve 3D printing and mixed media. The sculptures  use the limitations of the print process (size and colour) and its opportunities (fairly limitless forms). I’m drawn to the challenging aspects of life, such as food, sex and violence.

The posters are something I briefly did, and I’m waiting to see if they progress.

My street photography is a long-standing activity. If I’m in a busy urban environment I have to take photos of people. But I’m increasingly aware of street photography’s limitations, notably the lazy clichés of people scoffing food on the street, those who look joyful or lost, and generally people doing odd things. I’m finding it hard to find images that don’t conform to one of these stereotypes.
